Showdown in Morris

Posted by st

The Eastman Selects travelled to Morris to take on the Pembina Valley Hawks in the second game of a home and home series. Game one ended in a draw on home ice in Eastman so the stage was set for a showdown in game two in Pembina Valley.  The Hawks were fast and furious in the first period outshooting the Selects, but Audet with some acrobatic saves kept the game close.  The Selects swarmed the Pembina Valley net in periods two and three, netting a couple tallies. With the Selects down 3-2 late in the third period, Audet headed to the bench to allow for the extra attacker, but the Selects ran out of time as Hawks were able to hold off the late game surge to take the 3-2 victory.
